Today Minnesota Alternatives and the University of Minnesota held an 8 hour conference on Co-occurring Disorders. About 300 people attended and it was an overwhelming success. The responses from participants were very positive and people seemed truly energized by the presentations.
Thanks to those who came to learn and special thanks to Dr. Steve Pratt, Dr. David Frenz, and Dr. Kevin Turnquist, who took time from their busy schedules to share their expertise.
I met Dr. Pratt and Dr. Turnquist many years ago when we all worked together at AMRTC. They have been leaders in person-centered care, and have been incredibly helpful and supportive as I have worked to bring paradigm change to substance use disorder treatment.
I am very excited about the partnership Minnesota Alternatives and the University of Minnesota has established, and I think our work together will be instrumental in helping providers integrate best practices.
